Makeup Application Tips:

EYE MAKEUP:

When applying makeup near the eye, use ONLY your ring finger.  The ring finger is the weakest finger and does not place as much pressure on the eye area as your other fingers.

NEVER stretch the skin or the eye area. ALWAYS use a pat-pat-pat motion (almost like sponge painting).

LIPSTICK

Does your lipstick kiss off or wear off sooner that you would like?  Here is tip to help you:

  • Apply concealer or foundation over the lips
  • Apply translucent powder over lips
  • Apply Lip Liner
  • Apply Lip Color
  • Apply translucent powder
  • Lightly touch up lips with lip color

BLUSH

It is best to apply blush over a moist cheek area.  I personally do not wear foundation on my face, except the cheek area.  I apply a small amount of foundation (pat-pat motion) to my cheek area with a makeup application sponge.  While foundation is still moist, apply the blush.  Seal blush with translucent powder.

FOUNDATION:

Applied correctly, foundation should not be obvious.  It is intended to blend your skin tone and enhance your natural beauty, not take away from your beauty.

  • Select a light/oil free foundation
  • Select a color that matches your skin tone
  • Apply foundation to blend you skin (you may not need it all over your face)
